Point was established in 2006 in response to a growing need from corporates to manage and measure their Print and Point of Sale spends.
Many of our clients had their own internal print procurement operations but decided to outsource this operation to our specialist team.
We partner closely with our clients to manage and identify the key areas of spend across the entire business.
This includes Marketing, Point of Sale, In-Store Marketing, Permanent Units, Corporate Affairs,
Transactional Print, Training and Direct Mail. Print and Point of Sale materials are often overlooked by management falling somewhere
between procurement and marketing.
Point provides dedicated on-site print expertise, Colour Management, DAM, Procurement Support and Consultancy.
We use various technologies to form Printflow, our bespoke Print Management and Procurement platform.
Point is strictly a 'can do' business and is currently managing the largest spend of any marketing materials procurement consultant in the region.
We have offices in Johannesburg, Centurion, Durban, Cape Town, Cairo, Jeddah, Dubai, Karachi, Lagos and Nairobi.
Due to the large value of print and Point of Sale we manage, Point has significant buying power in the local and regional markets in which we operate.
We are able to increase the throughput with suppliers through the consolidation of client spend and thus achieve better pricing.
As our purchasing power increases, this ability is enhanced, and this benefit flows directly and in full, back to our clients.
Increasingly we are sourcing large orders for delivery into many markets from a single supplier (where they were bought locally within each market before),
and are achieving significant savings on behalf of our clients through this practice.
Conceptually, and in practice, Point is committed to developing accurate, reliable and statistically defensible measures of
the financial benefits that clients experience as a result of partnering with us.
These financial savings are in addition to – but distinct from – the non-financial savings experienced by clients through, increased employee satisfaction, increased employee core job focus, increased delivery speed,
print quality enhancements, colour and CI management and improved transparency of print spend.
Our financial benefit calculation approach has been developed and tested across our clients and is intended to marry meaningfulness,
representativity, conceptual correctness, analytical rigour, and practicality. In order to ensure correct and objective analysis,
the data for the underlying analysis is provided by the client and Point, with an indepandent third party doing the analysis, enabling both
parties (Point and client) to audit and agree the results.
With over 150 staff with local understanding and functional expertise, our people are based mostly on site at our client premises.
We have highly trained Print/Point of Sale/Promo specialists who are equipped to deliver against client needs.
